Clear, intentional grant strategy built to support lasting impact.

GrantMosaic helps mission-driven organizations build sustainable funding strategies by bringing clarity and intention to the grants experience. We partner with nonprofits to navigate the complexities of grant seeking with focus, care, and purpose—so funding efforts feel aligned, manageable, and effective.

Our work is rooted in the belief that strong missions deserve access to clear, thoughtful grant strategy. By simplifying requirements, strengthening narratives, and aligning opportunities with organizational goals, we support nonprofits in pursuing funding that reflects their values and advances long-term impact.

GrantMosaic envisions a funding landscape where organizations pursue grants with clarity, confidence, and sustainability. We approach every partnership with a commitment to collaboration, consistency, and capacity-building—recognizing that successful grants are not just about awards, but about strengthening the systems behind them.

At its core, GrantMosaic is about care: care for the mission, care for the community served, and care for the responsibility that comes with stewarding philanthropic resources. Each grant is one piece of a larger picture—and when those pieces come together with intention, they create something meaningful and lasting.

Who We Are

Josh Hernday is the Founder and CEO of GrantMosaic, where he partners with mission-driven organizations to bring clarity, intention, and sustainability to funding efforts. With more than a decade of nonprofit leadership experience, Josh has supported organizations across hunger relief, the arts, and community development, most recently serving as Senior Grants Manager at Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin where he has overhauled the grants management system and led it to be the most successful it has ever been in the organization’s 40+ year history.

Having also served as an Executive Director, Board President, and as a grants evaluator for several foundations, Josh brings a broad blend of perspectives to GrantMosaic that give the organization its uniquely full-circle and people-centric approach to the grants experience.

He is also a lifelong arts advocate that continues to perform professionally with orchestras throughout the Midwest, serves on the Board of Directors for the Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra, and formerly served as Executive Director of the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra.

At heart, Josh is a connector—bringing people, ideas, and resources together to strengthen communities and help meaningful work thrive.
